roxannemaltby:You obviously don’t get it. It is sending a message, loud and clear: We don’t want your bullshit, capitalist companies in our society. We don’t care for your company that puts dollars, cents, and vapid aesthetics before a human being. We don’t need a company that charges $30 fucking dollars for a t-shirt that took cents to make while paying slave wages to their employees.
Did you not see what a difference it made in Greece when people get pissed? Government relies on the fact that we as a group will either be too apathetic or too passive to do anything about how fucked up they’ve let our world become and how they’re robbing us blind. They’re not listening when we peacefully protest, sometimes it takes force to get a point across.
Don’t worry though, you’ll still be able to get your deep-v’s online anyway while their store is closed for repairs.
^^^ love this fucking guy!
^^^ actually it is especially senseless to bash american apparel, one of the very few ethical clothing companies out there. all of their clothes are manufactured in L.A. where employees are paid fair wages with many offered benefits
dov charney may be a sick bastard but that’s a whole other story
